The US Virgin Islands are located at the meeting point of the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean East of Puerto Rico. More specifically, at 18 20 N, 64 50 W. The US and British Virgin Islands are part of a chain of volcanic islands that run from Puerto Rico to South America. Don't worry though, the only active volcano is on Montserrat, which is a good distance from the Virgin Islands.
